Fahrenheit Security Ltd is expanding its specialist Event Security team and is seeking experienced, professional SIA-licensed Security officers to join our pool of event personnel for ad-hoc assignments across Central London and the surrounding areas.
We provide Security services for high-end events, luxury venues, corporate functions, private events, VIP occasions and prestigious hospitality environments.
We are looking to build a reliable, professional and experienced team of officers who understand that security at premium events requires more than simply being present. Our officers are expected to combine a strong security presence with discretion, excellent customer service and professional conduct at all times.

The Role


Event assignments will vary depending on the requirements of each client and venue.

Duties may include:

  • Maintaining a visible and professional Security presence.
  • Protecting guests, staff, clients and property.
  • Controlling access and monitoring entrances and exits.
  • Guest screening and accreditation checks where required.
  • Monitoring and managing potential Security concerns.
  • Responding professionally to incidents and challenging situations.
  • Liaising with event management, venue staff and other security personnel.
  • Assisting with crowd management and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Providing a high level of customer service while maintaining appropriate Security awareness.
  • Completing any required incident reports and security documentation.
  • Representing Fahrenheit Security Ltd and our clients to a consistently high professional standard.

Hours

Hours are subject to the requirements of each individual event and may vary depending on the assignment.
Typical event shifts can range from approximately 5 to 12 hours.

Pay Rate

Rates are dependent on the individual event, venue and requirements of the assignment. Rates start from £15.00 per hour and can be up to £20.00 per hour, depending on the event and level of experience required.

The calibre we are looking for


This is not a position for individuals simply looking to pick up occasional security shifts.
We are looking to establish a dedicated pool of experienced event security professionals who can be relied upon for future assignments.

The successful candidates will demonstrate

  • Previous experience in Event, corporate, hospitality, luxury retail, VIP or high-profile Security environments.

  • Excellent personal presentation and professional appearance.
  • A confident, calm and composed manner.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to deal professionally with members of the public, VIP guests and senior venue personnel.
  • Good situational awareness and sound judgement.
  • The confidence and presence required to manage challenging situations professionally.
  • Reliability, punctuality and flexibility.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A strong work ethic, honesty and integrity.
  • A genuine understanding of discretion and confidentiality.

Experience working at prestigious venues, luxury events, corporate functions, private events or within premium hospitality environments would be highly advantageous.

Presentation


As our officers will represent both Fahrenheit Security and our high-profile clients, exceptional presentation is essential.
Depending on the assignment, officers may be required to wear:
Black tailored suit • White shirt • Black smart shoes • Professional grooming
Uniform requirements may vary according to the venue and event.

Requirements


  • Current Frontline SIA Door Supervisor licence.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Verifiable employment history suitable for BS 7858 screening.
  • DBS check.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work ad-hoc assignments, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to travel to different venues across London and surrounding areas.
  • Previous event security experience is highly desirable.
